John Lester, the principal and owner of Lester Recreation Designs has extensive experience in the park and recreation field after graduating from Indiana University in 1971 with a degree from the school of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. 

John has been a leading advocate for playground safety and the development of safety programs for public agencies based on guidelines of the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commision (CPSC) and the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM).  John is a certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI).
